Our Curriculum at St Anthony's
Curriculum Intention
At the heart of our curriculum is the Catholic Ethos of our school which we believe is fundamental in preparing our children to be pillars of the community, equipped with character, virtues and positive attitudes. This will enable them to participate and excel within and beyond the school day.
Our curriculum is fun and inspires a love of learning. It enables our children to be inquisitive and to develop resilience to become independent learners.
A shared vision of God’s love is at the centre of our school community where moral, social, spiritual and cultural development underpins a consistently high level of pupil academic achievement. Pupils flourish through first hand enjoyable and investigative experiences which enable them to absorb the skills and knowledge of our curriculum offer.
Children are immersed in stimulating and engaging environments, both indoors and out, which fosters a sense of curiosity, awe and wonder. Through an inclusive creative curriculum where learning is given a context, we develop inter-personal skills and build character while nurturing children to become creative, critical thinkers with high expectations.
A love of learning is the greatest gift a school can bestow upon a child. Every child is recognised as a unique individual and we rejoice in their opportunity to grow through an engaging and rich curriculum with an abundance of extra-curricular activities. This brings out the best in all learners and prepares them for success in the future. Children participate fully in the life of the school, which provides memorable learning experiences as we ‘Do something beautiful for God’ each and every day.
